Come and enjoy a series of storytimes in Japanese. The monthly sessions will feature read-alouds of popular Japanese picture books, introducing young listeners to the sounds and rhythm of the language. Children will also enjoy traditional hand-play games and songs, offering a fun cultural experience that blends language, music, and movement.
Perfect for children from birth to 5 years old (though all ages are welcome!). No Registration Required.

Designed by architect Thomas J. Russell, the Miraleste Library and its wall of windows takes full advantage of its prime location with spectacular views of the community and Long Beach Harbor. Originally a "station" library at Miraleste Elementary School in the early 1950s, it has served as a vital community hub with a wide range of resources and programs at this location since 1970. In 1995, a new entrance was created off the parking lot to comply with ADA requirements. In 2001, the children’s area was remodeled and expanded.
